2008 Cane Football Playoffs
Lackey 19, Huntingtown 14
Huntingtown had the momentum throughout the game until late in the 4th quarter, when a tipped Cane pass led to a Charger interception. Lackey then scored the deciding TD with under a minute to play to lift the Chargers to a victory.
Culver Bradbury opened the Cane scoring with 32 yd interception for a TD and H-town later scored on a 33yd TD pass from Peter Athens to Trevon Jenifer. The Hurricanes finished their 2008 season with a 9-2 record and a share of the SMAC Championship.

Congratulations to the Varsity Football Team on their 9-2 season, a trip to the State Playoffs and a share of the 2008 SMAC Championhip.
2008 Junior Varsity Hurricane Football
Congratulations to the JV Football team: the 2008 JV Football Team under the coaching staff of Larry Bazey, Jimmy Beck, Mike Henshaw, Otis Brooks, and Mark Mozier had an undefeated season with a record of 10 – 0. This record makes them the first JV football team to go undefeated in Huntingtown High School’s history.

8-1.

Schedule Changes The JV/Freshman Football game vs. McDonough will now be Monday November 10 at 5 and 7. The Chopticon JV/Freshman Football game away has been moved from this Thursday to Saturday September 13 at 6:30 and 8:30.

Coach Franks inducted into Hall of Fame
February, 2008: Coach Jerry Franks inducted to Maryland High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
Most of Calvert County has known the contribution Jerry Franks
has made to the football community. And now the whole state
knows after the longtime coach was inducted into the Maryland
High School Football Coaches Association’s State Football Hall
of Fame Feb. 16, 2008 at M&T Bank Stadium.

The 2007 Canes Football Season Highlight DVD is now available for $10. The DVD contains team and senior photos, a photo slideshow and game video highlights.
